Nashville-based duo Hush Kids released their new single "Love Don't Disappear." The track is the latest peak at their forthcoming EP Weatherman releasing on September 24th. A bittersweet tune, "Love Don't Disappear" searches for emotional clarity and stability with acoustic sparseness, subtle driving percussion, and lavish harmonies.

"This was the second song we wrote together, and the song that turned us into Hush Kids," stated Peter. "I was working on a mix a while after we wrote it and Jill asked if I wanted to start a band. I hadn’t been asked that question since high school. I’m very glad I said yes."
"Peter used to have an old ski boat parked in his yard," continued Jill. "I didn't know him well because we had only written once together. When we hit a wall a couple hours in, I thought about packing up and coming back to finish the song another day. I remember Peter going to the kitchen, coming back with two Miller Lites in hand and asking me if I wanted to finish the song in the boat. I asked him if there was a lake around and he replied, 'Well yeah, but I just meant in my yard.' After a few good laughs and some sun on our faces we did finish this song, still parked there, yet somehow moved.”
"Love Don't Disappear" follows the release of lead single and title track "Weatherman," which found the duo reuniting with Grammy Award-winning producer Ian Fitchuk (Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris, Leon Bridges). Rolling Stone raved "Building from flat, muted drums and acoustic guitar to a lush swirl of keys and synth bass, it showcases the duo's harmonies and offers some valuable insight for days when the skies look cloudy."
Comprised of renowned artists Jill Andrews and Peter Groenwald, Hush Kids is a friendship with music. It began long before it had a name, when two beloved Nashville artists with impressive solo careers were put together by their publishers to write songs for other people; in time, they discovered they had been writing for themselves all along. Their earliest sessions revealed more than chemistry, they revealed kindredness, an innate understanding that allowed two very different people to write some of the most deeply personal music of their careers. Incredible, instinctive vocal symmetry, captivating melodies, and intimate, intelligent lyrics speak to the years of tireless craftsmanship and well-earned successes by both artists respectively.
Garnering praise from Rolling Stone, Billboard, Paste, Relix, and Folk Alley among others, Hush Kids’ 2018 self-titled debut album journeys across the unexpected, the strangeness of love rather than the sweetness, the beauty of the world rather than the bullshit. Guided by writer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Ian Fitchuk, the record paired the effortless, addictive pop sensibility of The Carpenters with the dusty, atmospheric, desert landscape of Robert Plant and Allison’s Kraus’s Americana classic Raising Sand. Despite the name, Hush Kids is not about quiet, it’s about stepping away from the wrong kind of noise to embrace the music.
A gifted composer, producer, and musician, Peter has toured extensively and shared the stage with artists such as The Civil Wars, Andrew Belle, and Ruston Kelly. In 2020, he joined forces with Sean McConnell and Garrison Starr to release an EP as My Sister, My Brother. Never one to rest, Peter followed that up with an EP in early 2021 co-written and co-produced alongside production duo I WAS THE LION titled Come To Life. Jill, a founding member of the alt/country favorite The Everybodyfields, has performed alongside The Avett Brothers, The Secret Sisters, and Drew Holcomb & the Neighbors as well as secured television placements that include Grey's Anatomy, This Is Us, and the theme song for SyFy’s beloved Wynona Earp. In 2020, she released her critically acclaimed album and accompanying book Thirties, and followed that up with a dark EP of songs from her back catalog called Vultures.

Toronto born Los Angeles based Alt-Pop singer-songwriter, mental health & LGBTQIA+ advocate X. ARI is set to release her new EP Anja on July 23rd. In the lead up to the EP release, X. ARI premiered the acoustic music video for her third single “Stranger To Saviour" yesterday exclusively with PopWrapped. X. ARI has always made it a point throughout her career to highlight her life experiences including living and thriving with metal health challenges (ADHD, Bipolar 1, Psychosis, Sleep Paralysis, OCD, PTSD episodes, Anxiety, and Depression) When it comes to her life and her music X. ARI has a simple, but important motto: "Pain Into Power” which means "turning your weaknesses into your biggest strengths, thereby making your burdens your blessings.” X. ARI uses her music and her platform to help others know they are not alone out there and that they too can have a fulfilling life by channeling their Pain Into Power. Following in the theme of highlighting her life experiences X. ARI’s forthcoming EP is dedicated to her first ever/ current girlfriend Anja. As X. ARI describes it “our love has been life changing and healing for me. After a lifetime of dating men I am so grateful for listening to my spirit guides and allowing myself to be open to a partnership with a woman.” Much like her past music focusing on her personal life experiences, this new EP focuses on her new relationship and newly found sexuality, as can be seen on the already released tracks “Stranger To Saviour”, “Good For Me”, and “She Knows”. According to American Songwriter, "She Knows" leaves fans with a message to “feel good in their skin and love themselves fully." X. ARI’s goal is to make a global impact as not only an artist, but as an advocate, and public speaker to spread her message of love, light, and self-care resources to help heal the world.
When asked about her inspiration for the acoustic music video, she explained that “the video of the acoustic version of "Stranger to Saviour" was shot at DTLA loft. We kept the setting simple to match the simplicity of the stripped down accompaniment of vocals, keys, and acoustic guitar. This song is most emotionally driven on my "Anja" EP, so this version showcases the lyrics and vocals in the forefront with very little instrumental distractions to allow the listener to connect more deeply to the messages, which entail transformation, newfound love, spirituality, and inner evolution.”
On top of her forthcoming EP X. ARI has a lot planned for 2021 with upcoming concerts scheduled as the world begins to open back up. In the build up to the release of Anja, X. ARI will be performing as part of Ryan Cassata’s show at Oasis House Show “Queer Party”, on July 18th at 7pm, followed by a free acoustic show on July 29th at 8pm at Stone Street Coffee Company. Recently X. ARI performed at Proud & Loud Concert with partial proceeds of X.
