Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 - Full Performance (Live on KEXP)

Seun Kuti is the youngest son of Fela Kuti and is the frontman and leader of Egypt 80. The band has adapted and evolved the sound of Afrobeat and Jazz. Seun as a developing saxophonist and percussionist at an early age, he entered the formal ranks of the band before he was 12. When Fela passed in 1997 Seun took the helm of the Egypt 80.

To see Seun Kuti and the Egypt 80 live is a musical treat. They performed at the World Music Festival Chicago several years ago and it was a cosmic experience. His incredible saxophone playing, and high energy just draws you into the whole band. You can catch him this summer at the Millennium Park Music Series Monday, July 15 • 6:30pm
